ConAgra encourages parents to help fight hunger

ConAgra Foods is encouraging families to pack peanut butter sandwiches instead of buying lunch on Wednesdays during February and donate the savings to fight hunger.

The Omaha-based company that makes Peter Pan peanut butter has also pledged to donate $200,000 to the Feeding America network of food banks as part of the campaign.

Feeding America estimates that 17 million kids in the U.S. are struggling with hunger.
